AGILE IMPLEMENTATION
METHODS APPLIED IN-HOUSE
Aim is to Align
Functions to Current Market Needs
Jacksonville, Fla. (July 23, 2008) -
Reflecting its commitment to agile implementation methods with lender
customers, MortgageFlex Systems Inc. has applied the same approach to its
internal structure, with the aim of aligning functions to current market needs.
Utilizing this new methodology, the
technology provider recently went live with the LoanQuest™ Residential Lending
System for loan origination at KeyBank Mortgage, a unit of Cleveland-based KeyBank NA.
Applying similar
concepts to its corporate structure, “will foster a more open environment, encouraging cross-sale
opportunities, stronger professional services and deeper customer support,”
said Craig Bechtle of MortgageFlex, recently promoted to executive
vice-president and COO of the company. “We’ve embraced Agile theories for years
to develop our software, so it makes good business sense to foster that
environment throughout our organization.”
Agile methods, Bechtle noted, promote
a true team atmosphere with:
·
Close,
daily cooperation between business people and developers;
·
Continuous
attention to technical excellence and good design;
·
Regular
adaptation to changing circumstances.
Bechtle
joined MortgageFlex in 1999 and has been responsible for the management and
development of the LoanQuest product line. New responsibilities include future
product and technology development management and continuing international market expansion.
James (Jim) Dowell, who served for
many years as executive vice-president/COO, recently retired.
Commenting on Dowell’s retirement, Lester
Dominick, MortgageFlex president and founder, said, “Jim’s dedication over the
past nine years has been commendable. He strongly influenced our seminal
decision to expand internationally with the establishment of MortgageFlex’s
presence in the European and Middle-Eastern sectors. His contributions will be
missed.”
